Many parents have been asking about homework. See the chart below for how I handle homework. Remember this is subject to change but that happens VERY rarely. Monday Reading story spelling 3 x's each study spelling words all week | Tuesday spelling sentences | Wednesday ABC order for spelling Reading story | Thursday study spelling words for test on Friday | Friday Read at home |
If there is a science or social studies test, I try to give three days notice. |

Welcome to 2nd grade!! I am so excited to start another year in 2nd grade. We will be starting the year learning all about our family. Reading will be VERY important for all of the students to do in school and at home. The reading book will be sent home at least three days a week for students to read with someone at home. Spelling lists will be sent home on Monday to prepare for the tests on Friday. I am excited that the students will also have a science book this year!! We will be doing a lot of fun and exciting lessons. If you ever have any questions, please email me as I try to check that first thing in the morning, at lunch and before I leave at the end of the day. We also have an addition to our room. Student teacher Katie B will be with the class the first 8 weeks of school. She is very excited to be in the room! I am looking forward to a GREAT year!! Mrs. Strader |
